Houston Dynamo FC defeated FC Tulsa 3-0 earlier this afternoon in a preseason game at Ellis Field on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Dynamo forward Tyler Pasher found Maxi Urruti at the top of the box for the first goal of the game in the 15th minute. Urruti’s effort was initially handled by the Tulsa goalkeeper, but the ball slipped between his legs for the first goal of the game.

Houston doubled their lead in the 34th minute after Pasher caught the Tulsa goalkeeper off his line. The winger’s long-range effort dipped under the crossbar for Pasher’s first goal of the preseason.

The final goal of the game came early in the second half courtesy of a low cross from Urruti in the 57th minute. Midfielder Matias Vera slid into the six-yard box to connect with the ball at the far post for the third goal of the game.

Dynamo midfielder Memo Rodriguez andUrruti combined for two close calls in the first half. The Dynamo Academy product found Urruti outside the box, but his effort was saved at the far post. Urruti returned the favor a few minutes later when Rodriguez forced a save at the top corner of the near post.
