Kid’s Meals

Dynamo & Dash Charities took a trip down to the Kid’s Meals volunteer center with some full-time staff and volunteers to pack hundreds of lunches for kids from low-income homes and don’t normally have groceries to eat after school.

Kid’s Meals, an organization aiming to end childhood hunger by delivering free, healthy meals to the doorsteps of Greater Houston's hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration providing their families with resources to help end the cycle of poverty. They just moved to their new location and the first large scale group to volunteer on 8.20.25 were 100 employees from Chevron, Dynamo & Dash Charities, employees from the Houston Dash organization, and four Houston Dash players.

In November or 2024, Dynamo and Dash Charities partnered with Families Feeding Families, Origin Bank and the Precinct 2 and 6 Constables to host a Thanksgiving food drive for those in need. Over 250 families received a weeks worth of groceries as well as a Thanksgiving meal from HDFC Headquarters.

After the devastating effects of Hurricane Beryl in July, Dynamo & Dash Charities partnered with Levy Cares to pack and distribute 1000 lunches to those without power and who were affected by the storm.

Volunteers from Dynamo & Dash Charities donated their time at the Houston Food Bank and Baker Ripley House throughout the year, helping to distribute food to those in need. Over 250 hours were spent with these organizations and $10,000 donation was made to the Houston Food Bank help combat food insecurity in Houston.

Dynamo & Dash Charities partnered with the Foundation for Black Heritage & Culture to sort and package food and distribute the food into the community via cars.

We took over 20 volunteers with us to the Houston Food Bank to sanitize and pack food while the Dynamo vs Columbus match was playing in the background on a big screen.
