Each match, a deserving hero will be honored on the pitch for their service. Each honoree receives two premium tickets to the match, a Dynamo jersey, and some Houston Dynamo swag. You can hear their stories below:
I serve as an Aviation Ordnanceman and have participated in Operation Freedom Sentinel and Operation Prosperity Guardian, earning the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon. I currently recruit in the Missouri City sector and was part of the U.S. Naval IKE soccer team that won three straight East Coast championships.
I've been in the Army for 17 and a half years, lived in 12 different locations, and I'm currently stationed here in Houston at NASA. I am currently serving in the astronaut office as a vehicle integration and test engineer. I've deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan during the global war on terrorism serving as a Joint Fires Observer for Close Air Support as well as a Security Forces Advisor.
I joined the Army Reserves in October 2006, completed basic training in July 2007, and served 13 years as a 92Y Unit Supply Specialist with the 302nd Military Police Company. I deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2014 for seven months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, then continued serving until my ETS on August 31, 2020, leaving as an E-4 Specialist.
I joined the Army in July 1990 as a Vulcan Operator and transitioned to Bradley Fighting Vehicle Crew member, and Patriot Operator. I assisted in the development of C-RAM (Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar) and THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Air Defense. and served in Texas, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Germany. I deployed to Kuwait 3 times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing Air Defense Artillery in support of Troops in the Middle East. I retired from the Army in January of 2011, just before going to Afghanistan. I am currently working as a Law Enforcement Officer for the State of Louisiana.
