FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Aug. 8, 2026) – Houston Dynamo FC earned their third straight clean sheet victory with a 2-0 road win over New England Revolution on Saturday night. The win moves Houston to within two points of first place in the MLS Western Conference. Â
Houston has not conceded a goal in nearly 300 minutes and have been the top team in the MLS Western Conference over the last 12 league matches, compiling a 8-2-2 record for 26 points over that stretch.Â
Attacker Guilherme netted his 11th goal of the season in first half stoppage time, finding a loose ball on the edge of the six-yard box to give Houston a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The Brazilian MLS All-Star has now contributed to 18 of Houston’s 26 goals this season, becoming just the ninth player in MLS history to do so for their club.Â
In the 63rd minute, defender Agustin Resch played the hero, doubling the Dynamo advantage with his first career MLS goal. The 6-foot-6 center back was first to an out-swinging corner played in from midfielder Jack McGlynn. Resch was selected 69th overall by the Dynamo in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. The assist was McGlynn's sixth of the season.Â
Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond was called into action in the second minute when Peyton Miller dribbled to the edge of the box and fired a shot that required a quick-reaction, low save from the veteran goalkeeper for his first of two saves on the night.Â
Attacking midfielder Mateusz Bogusz fired a low, curling shot from outside of the box in the 37th minute that forced a diving save from New England goalkeeper Matt Turner, getting down to his left to send the ball behind goal.Â
Héctor Herrera stung the palms of Turner in the 60th minute, as Bogusz played a diagonal ball toward a streaking Herrera at the top of the box. HH hit it first time on the right foot, but Turner was able to collect and go the other way.Â
Houston returns to Shell Energy Stadium to host the LA Galaxy for 2006 Championship Celebration Night on Saturday, Aug. 8, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT. Fan can secure tickets to the match and festivities via Tixr.
