HOUSTON (June 8, 2026) – In preparation for the resumption of MLS play in late July, Houston Dynamo FC will return to training at Houston Sports Park on Monday, June 15. Training sessions will now begin at 9:30 a.m. CT, and the distribution of weekly training schedules will resume.
The Dynamo resume MLS play on Wednesday, July 22, hosting D.C. United, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Shell Energy Stadium. Fans can secure their tickets for the match via Tixr HERE.
Houston managed a strong finish during the run in to the league-mandated FIFA World Cup 2026™ break, earning a 5-2-1 (WLD) in their final eight MLS matches, while posting four clean sheets. The Dynamo currently sit seventh inside the Western Conference playoff line and only three points off of the top four spots in a tightly contested table.
Media can reach out to the HDFC communications team to request interviews with players, head coach Ben Olsen or President of Soccer Pat Onstad, relating to both the Dynamo and FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Additionally, the Dynamo will play five friendly matches in the lead up to competitive play, including two ticketed matches at Shell Energy Stadium versus Honduran powerhouse Club Olimpia Deportivo on Saturday, July 11, and Colombian giants América de Cali on Wednesday, July 15. Fans can secure their tickets for those matches via Tixr HERE.
For those matches, media members can apply for matchday credentials via THIS LINK, while media with 2026 season-long credentials will be able to utilize those to cover both matches at Shell Energy Stadium.

The opening portion of each Dynamo training session at Houston Sports Park will be open to the media for photos and broll. Media will have a dedicated area by the pitch. Parking is available along Mowery Road, and the entrance gate will be staffed by a communications team member.
