HOUSTON (Oct. 9, 2026) – Houston Dynamo FC open a two-match road trip on Saturday, Oct. 10, traveling north to face Minnesota United FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Allianz Field, and fans can tune in to the action live on Apple TV.

The fixture marks the first of two meetings between the sides this season, with Houston set to host Minnesota at Shell Energy Stadium on Oct. 24.

One lineup note for the match is that midfielder Héctor Herrera will serve a one-match suspension after receiving a red card during Houston’s previous match versus Sporting Kansas City on Sept. 26.

With seven regular season matches remaining, Houston currently sits fifth in the Western Conference standings, just three points behind the second seed. The Dynamo currently hold a 13-9-5 (W-L-D) record on 44 points, the second-highest point total through 27 matches in team history. The team has also avoided defeat in 10 of 13 matches since returning from the World Cup break.

On the individual front, attacker Guilherme has contributed to 22 of Houston’s 34 league goals this season (63.6%), one of the highest rates in MLS so far. Notably, his 22 goal contributions (14 goals and eight assists) set a new single-season record for the Dynamo, surpassing Herrera (2021) and former Dynamo player Mauro Manotas’ (2019) 21 goal contributions. He also recently managed a four-match scoring streak, just one short of the Club’s all-time record, as Manotas managed five in 2019.

Additionally, goalkeeper Jonathan Bond ranks among the top five in the league in clean sheets this season with ten. The veteran shot stopper recently helped Houston tie a league-record with a five-match shutout victory streak and held opponents scoreless for an impressive 485 minutes, the second-longest run over the last decade for the Dynamo.

The Dynamo are coming off a 2-0 home defeat to Kansas City before entering international break. Despite the result, the match saw Dynamo captain and midfielder Artur make his 150th Dynamo appearance across all competitions, as well as a Dynamo debut for striker Lyle Foster, who came on as a second half substitute. Houston signed the South African international on loan at the start of September, joining the Dynamo after spending the past four seasons with Burnley FC, making 89 league appearances and scoring 11 goals across the Premier League and EFL Championship.

Minnesota enters Saturday's match sitting 14th in the Western Conference with 29 points and a 7-12-8 (W-L-D) record. The team is currently on a five-match losing streak, most recently falling 3-1 to Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field at the end of September. Anthony Markanich was Minnesota's lone scorer in the match. Kelvin Yeboah leads the Loons' attack with 14 goals, while Joaquin Pereyra leads the team with 12 assists.

The Dynamo and Minnesota met twice last season, splitting the points in the season series. Houston secured a 2-0 home victory over the Loons in their first meeting, with defender Felipe Andrade and former Dynamo player Pablo Ortiz each scoring a goal. Notably, Andrade's performance earned him a spot on the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Matchday. The second matchup came a month later, when Houston fell 3-1 at Minnesota. Andrade was also Houston's goalscorer in that match.

Notably, Homegrown midfielder Matthew Arana received an international call up during the recent September FIFA window, representing the U-17 Mexican National Team in Europe. The 16-year-old helped Mexico earn a draw versus Argentina and two victories over China and Tanzania.

Houston continues their two-match road trip on Wednesday, Oct. 14, traveling to face San Diego FC at Snapdragon Stadium, with kickoff set for 9:30 p.m. CT on Apple TV.
