Season Ticket Member Michael Degeurin is a lifelong soccer fan who has now lived in Houston for more than half a century. In fact, Degeurin and his family secured their season tickets before the expansion club settled on the name Houston Dynamo FC, noting that they were Personal Seat License (PSL) 247.

“I even remember attending Houston Hurricane matches as a kid at the Astrodome,” Degeurin said of the former NASL team that called the city home from 1978-80.

Degeurin said his favorite aspect of being a Season Ticket Member is having a meaningful input on the fan experience, which he is fond of at Shell Energy Stadium.

“People should attend Dynamo matches because the on-field product is great and gameday feels like one community,” Degeurin said. “It’s the community of seat neighbors, the team’s players and being close enough to smell the grass on the pitch.”

Theme nights are an important part of any stadium experience, and Degeurin has a unique idea for an upcoming match.

“Team night,” he said. “It would be cool to invite local youth sports teams to attend the match in uniform and be recognized – soccer, baseball, football, volleyball and dance teams.”

Degeurin will be honored as SeatGeek’s Member of the Match at Sunday’s matchup versus the Portland Timbers at Shell Energy Stadium.
