By The Numbers: David Horst, Ironman of the Year

HoustonDynamo.com takes a look at some of the top numbers for our 2015 Dynamo Award Winners. First, Ironman of the Year winner David Horst:

  • Led all Dynamo field players with 2,603 regular season minutes played
  • Set career high with 32 games played, one more than previous high set in 2014
  • Missed career high in minutes played by 50 minutes (set in 2014)
  • Recorded two assists in 2015 after earning first MLS assist in 2014
  • Both assists came on corner kicks, heading down the initial cross into the center of the box to be finished
  • Started and played full 90 minutes in 24 straight games to close 2015
  • Made four substitute appearances in first 10 games of the season, the most since coming off the bench five times for Portland in 2011
  • Goalkeeper Tyler Deric was the only player to play more minutes that Horst, playing all 90 minutes in each of his 31 appearances for a total 2,790 minutes; forward Will Bruin played in one more game than Horst (33)
  • Horst claimed Ironman of the Year over midfielder Brad Davis by a mere seven minutes
