Romell Quioto expected to miss 2-4 weeks with dislocated left shoulder

Upon his return from national team duty with Honduras, Romell Quioto was examined by the medical staff of the Houston Dynamo for the left shoulder dislocation suffered in Honduras’ World Cup Qualifying match against the United States on Friday night. He will not be ready for this weekend’s Dynamo game against the New York Red Bulls and will begin a course of rehabilitation to attempt to return him to the field as quickly and as safely as possible. This is expected to take 2-4 weeks.

As a Dynamo player, Quioto has scored three goals in three games while playing all 270 minutes thus far this season. The Honduran international became the eighth player in club history to score in three consecutive games, tying the club record in a 4-2 loss at Portland Timbers. He is the only player in club history to score in each of his first three games with the team.

The Dynamo continue the 2017 season, presented by 76, on Saturday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. CDT against the New York Red Bulls at BBVA Compass Stadium.
