Houston Dynamo FC forward Sebas Ferreira and goalkeeper Steve Clark were named to the Team of the Week earlier today.

Ferreira scored the opening goal and tallied two assists in Houston’s 3-0 victory over the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday evening. The 24-year-old is the first Dynamo player to contribute to three goals in a single game since Aug. 25, 2020 when Houston scored five goals in Kansas City. The Paraguayan international leads the team with six goals across all competitions (regular season and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup). Ferreira is now tied with defender Adam Lundkvist for the most assists on the team at three.

Clark earned his fourth clean sheet of the season on Sunday and finished with six saves, the most for the Dynamo shot stopper in a single game this year. The veteran goalkeeper finished with five saves in the first half alone as the Dynamo protected a 1-0 lead.

Clark is the fifth Dynamo player to make the Team of the Week this season and this is the second time Ferreira has received the award.
