Dynamo Charities hosts the 50/50 Raffle at every Houston Dynamo FC and select Houston Dash home games. One lucky fan will win 50% of the net proceeds, with the other 50% going back to Dynamo Charities to support the Greater Houston community. One winning raffle number will be electronically selected and announced on the scoreboard in the 80th minute of the Dynamo FC or Dash match and posted online here. Winners do not have to be present to win, but must claim their prize no later than 7 business days after the winning game by emailing charities@houstondynamo.com.

Who is eligible to purchase 50/50 Raffle tickets?

Only legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of the Raffle are eligible to participate in the Raffle. The Foundation has the right to request photo identification from any person desiring to enter the Raffle. Employees and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings or children) of Dynamo Soccer, LLC, Dynamo Stadium, LLC, Dash Soccer, LLC, Dynamo Soccer SP, LLC, Major League Soccer(“MLS”) and its member teams, Soccer United Marketing, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, partners, officers, governors, employees, or agents, or anyone who works directly with the Raffle or any related party (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not eligible to enter the Raffle.

How long are the 50/50 Raffle tickets sold?

50/50 Raffle sellers will be selling tickets from the time gates open until the 70th minute of each game.

Where will the raffle tickets be sold?

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the stadium via roaming sellers. There will always be a seller positioned at the kiosk located behind section 117.

Is the amount shown what I win?

No, the amount shown is the total amount of the jackpot. The winner will receive half of the amount shown.

When and where will the winning number be displayed?

The winning number will be displayed on the main video board as well as the kiosk located behind section 117 during the 80th minute of every game.

Do I have to be present to win?

The ticket holder does not need to be present to win. The winner is given 7 business days to claim their ticket. A picture of the winning ticket must be emailed to charitites@houstondynamo.com. Upon presentation of the Winning Ticket (whether in person or via email), the Foundation shall coordinate with potential winners for them to come to Shell Energy Stadium in order to complete the paperwork necessary to receive the Prize.

Are the raffle tickets tax deductible?

Tickets are Not Tax Deductible. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the Ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.

Will the winner receive their money on the night of the game?

No, Dynamo Charities will file all applicable paperwork and then mail each winner a check within 30-60 business day.

What type of payment is accepted?

Raffle sellers will only accept credit or debit card payments due to Shell Energy Stadium’s cashless policy.

How does the rollover jackpot work?

Seven business days after a jackpot has been unclaimed, the winner’s portion of the jackpot can be split 50/50 with half going to Dynamo Charities and the other half going directly back into another game’s jackpot.

Where does the other half of the money go?

Fifty percent of the 50/50 Raffle sales of the applicable game will be retained by Dynamo Charities. Dynamo Charities believes in using the sport of soccer to support communities in the greater Houston area. We are committed to leveraging the passion of our players, our staff, and our fans to provide resources and education that positively impact lives in our community.
