Houston Dynamo midfielder Zach Steinberger has joined the Jacksonville Armada of the NASL on loan through the end of the 2016 season, the clubs announced today.

Steinberger, 24, played 90 minutes in a 4-0 win over San Antonio FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round on June 15. The California native also made four appearances this season for Rio Grande Valley FC, the Dynamo’s USL hybrid affiliate.

The Dynamo selected Steinberger in the first round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft (No. 8 overall) after four seasons at Butler University. He made three MLS regular-season and three U.S. Open Cup appearances for the Dynamo last season.
