HOUSTON (June 8, 2026) – Houston Dynamo 2 midfielder Diego Gonzalez will join Portland Hearts of Pine in USL League One on loan for the remainder of the 2026 season, both teams announced today.
Gonzalez has totaled 11 appearances for Dos this season, recording one goal and two assists as the team sits atop the Western Conference standings.
The 23-year-old signed his first professional contract with Dynamo 2 ahead of their inaugural season in 2022 after joining the Dynamo Academy at the age of 12. Since 2022, Gonzalez has totaled 91 appearances, 22 goals and 19 assists, while being named to the MLS NEXT Pro Best XI in 2024.
