The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros will host Las Vegas Lights FC at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday as the South Texas club wraps up a three-game homestretch at H-E-B Park.

RGV defeated OKC Energy FC 2-1 last Saturday for their first victory of the season. With the win, the Toros have earned four points from their last two home games.

Michael Salazar scored his first goal for the club after he capitalized on a defensive error outside the box in the 54th minute. The forward was free to pick his spot and beat the OKC goalkeeper at the far post to give the Toros the lead. Jesus Enriquez scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute as he dribbled past three defenders and chipped the goalkeeper for his first goal of the season.

Dynamo First Team defender Sam Junqua joined the Toros on loan last Saturday, playing all 90 minutes for the fourth time this year, and Dynamo Academy product Nico Lemoine entered the contest in the 78th minute.

Las Vegas remain unbeaten at home after they defeated Tacoma Defiance 5-0 at Cashman Field last Saturday. Lights FC have won three out of their four games at home this season but enter Saturday’s game with a three-game losing streak on the road. Las Vegas is managed by U.S. Men’s National Team legend Eric Wynalda, who was named to the role last October at the end of the 2018 season.

Offensively, Irvin Parra leads the Lights in goals with four and the midfield is managed by Pablo Cruz, who has created 11 chances this season. Thomas Olsen will aim for his fourth clean sheet of the season on Saturday and his first on the road. Olsen is tied for the second most clean sheets in the league and currently sits in fifth place with 18 saves this season.

Tickets for Saturday’s match are on sale and available at RGVFC.com. The match will be streamed live at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
