HOUSTON (Sept. 3, 2026) – Shell Energy Stadium today announced that it will host the Leagues Cup 2026 Final and Third-Place Match on Sunday, Sept. 6., with participation from four premier Liga MX teams. Fans can secure their tickets HERE later today.
The Final will kick off at 8:15 p.m. CT between Toluca FC vs. C.F. Monterrey. Earlier in the day, the Third-Place Match kicks off at 5:00 p.m. CT between Club León and Club América.

Toluca FC reached the 2026 Leagues Cup Final with a strong run highlighted by four victories in five matches. After advancing from Phase One with wins over Seattle Sounders FC and FC Dallas, Los Diablos Rojos posted consecutive 2-0 victories over Austin FC in the Quarterfinals and Club León in the Semifinals to secure their place in the championship match.
CF Monterrey reached its first Leagues Cup Final after advancing from Phase One with comeback victories over Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC. Rayados then defeated Chicago Fire FC 2-1 in the Quarterfinals before prevailing 5-4 on penalty kicks following a thrilling 2-2 draw with Club América in the Semifinals to secure their place in the championship match.
Club León reached the Leagues Cup Third-Place Match after completing a perfect Phase One with victories over Nashville SC, Orlando City SC and Inter Miami CF. La Fiera then defeated Real Salt Lake 3-0 in the Quarterfinals before falling 2-0 to Toluca FC in the Semifinals.
Club América reached the Leagues Cup Third-Place Match after advancing from Phase One with consecutive 3-1 victories over San Diego FC and the Portland Timbers, followed by a draw with Austin FC. Las Águilas then defeated the Columbus Crew 2-0 in the Quarterfinals before falling 5-4 on penalty kicks after a 2-2 Semifinal draw with CF Monterrey.
Leagues Cup is an annual, Concacaf-sanctioned competition between Major League Soccer and Liga MX that features top clubs from both leagues competing in a fully interleague format. Launched in 2023, the tournament represents a landmark collaboration between the two leagues and serves as a cornerstone of their long-term partnership.
The top three finishers in Leagues Cup qualify for the Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion earning the opportunity to represent the region in FIFA International club competitions.
