Three Houston Dash players named to USWNT roster for October friendlies

Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell, defender Abby Dahlkemper and midfielder Kristie Mewis were named to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for a pair of friendlies later this month, the federation announced earlier today.  

The four-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champions will face Korea Republic for a pair of friendlies which will also mark the final appearances for former Dash midfielder and USWNT legend Carli Lloyd in a U.S. uniform. The first friendly is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan. The match will air live at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and TUDN. The USWNT close the two-game series at Allianz Field on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT and fans fan follow the match on FS1 and TUDN.  

Campbell has earned six caps with the U.S. Women’s National Team, including the team’s 6-0 victory over Argentina to capture the 2021 SheBelieves Cup championship earlier this year. The Dash goalkeeper has four clean sheets in 15 appearances for Houston this season.  

Dahlkemper joined the Dash on Aug. 29 and has appeared in five games for Houston this season. The USWNT veteran has earned 76 appearances at the senior level and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.  

Mewis has three goals and four assists in 13 appearances for Houston this season. The midfielder has earned 30 appearances for USWNT and joined Campbell and Dahlkemper at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
