Houston Dynamo Academy sweep series against RISE Soccer, San Antonio FC and begin Dallas Cup play

Mid-Week Matches

The U-13 team opened the series against RISE Soccer Club with a 3-0 victory on a Wednesday night match at the Houston Sports Park.  AmaggaiAgbu sparked the offense at the beginning of the second half by winning a penalty kick. Jorge Martinez beat the goalkeeper from the penalty spot for the first goal of the match. Omar Bolanos doubled Houston’s lead with a half-volley into the bottom corner of the goal. Oscar Grinsfelder scored the final goal of the game after splitting two defenders to get past the backline and finish past the keeper. 


The U-15 team played RISE to a scoreless draw. Jacob Reyes found the back of the net in the beginning of the second half, but his goal was called offside. A strong performance by goalkeeper Jake Berrada and the team through sustained possession helped the control the game, but the match ended 0-0.


Weekend Matches
Three age groups closed the week at Houston Sports Park with a draw and two victories against San Antonio FC.  
The U-17 group played to a 2-2 draw with San Antonio at Houston Sports Park with a pair of goals from left-winger Julian Vega.

Forward Miles Mukherjea- Gerhring scored his first goal as a member of the Houston Dynamo as U-16 group earned 4-1 victory.  


The largest victory of the day came in the U-15 game where five Dynamo Academy players found the back of the net in their 6-0 victory on Saturday. Ancelin Gabaut-Diziere, Jacob Grossman, Parker Jackson, Lalito Moreno and Jacob Reyes scored for the Dynamo and the team forced an own goal to close the three-game series.  


Dallas Cup
The U-13 and U14 teams are currently in Dallas for the Dallas Cup.   The U13’s started off a group play with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas and the U14’s earned a 3-2 win over San Diego Surf.  A selection of players from the U12 Catalyst Foundation program will also attend the tournament this week.
